CLIMATE
August is one of the hottest times of the year in Cabo San Lucas.
Daily average temperatures range from a high of 98F (37C) to a low of 74F (24C), with an overall average of 86F (30C). The region is known for dry desert heat.

GRATUITY ETIQUETTE
In Mexico, tipping etiquette varies depending on the service and location. The general guideline is anywhere between 10-20%. US dollars are accepted at the resort. If you plan on venturing out, please plan on bringing pesos.

DRINKING WATER
In general, it is not considered safe to drink tap water in Mexico. At the resort, complimentary bottled water is generously provided in rooms and dining. Your room butler can also make sure your room is stocked well with bottled water.

GETTING AROUND
If you plan on leaving the resort, there are 2 recommendations for transportation: 1) Ride share app via Uber or 2) hiring a taxi. The resort can assist with taxi reservations and might recommend that you have the taxi stay with you the entire time depending on the activity and duration. This might make your return trip easier. They can also put the cost onto your final bill of which you can apply your stipend toward.

Booking your travel

  • For U.S. domestic flights, please plan on flying in Friday, August 23 and out Monday, August 26.

    For International flights, you may choose to arrive a day early on Thursday, August 22 with a departure of Monday, August 26.

    Semgrep will cover the costs mentioned above.

    If you would like to extend your stay beyond those dates, we can offer a discounted group rate for 1-2 days before and after our program, subject to availability. You will have an opportunity to share this info in our July 1st form.

  • Fly in and out of Los Cabos International Airport (SJD)

    We will follow the same flight booking process as the 2024 company offsite.

    • Domestic flights: please keep each ticket under $500.

    • International flights: please keep tickets under $1500.

    If the costs exceeds this amount, please reach out to Kathy Liu and we can work together to get the flight you need.

  • Between your home to your hotel, we recommend using your car share transportation service of your choice and using Expensify to reimburse.

    Your transportation between the Cabo airport and the resort will be arranged and cost will be covered. We will collect your arrival and departure information to make these arrangements.
